Weekend Programs

The Fleet's ongoing Weekend Programs are designed to inform the public about science in ways which are striking, accessible and hands-on. Events and talks in the past year have included astronaut appearances, live bats, robots, Australian animals, astronomy authors, undersea explorers and rocket-building classes. New programs are being added all the time, so please check this page frequently!

In the spirit of the new “Animal Grossology” exhibition, the Fleet Science Center is celebrating all things great, goofy and gross about dogs! At Doggie Lovers Day, visitors can watch dog tricks and agility demonstrations, see the latest in canine couture at the doggie fashion show, chat with certified trainers about doggie dilemmas and fall in love with the adoptable pooches (and kitties) from the San Diego Humane Society & SPCA. Kids will enjoy puppy puppet shows, yoga lessons by Fido & Co. Canine Country Club and more!
