Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will complete a variety of assignments, including:
- Assist Volunteer Services with clerical and administrative duties.
- Assist Volunteer Services with recruitment, interviewing, and orientation.
- Data entry of personnel information into the HRIS database.
- Maintains stock of all HR forms and supplies.
- Organization and filing of personnel files.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Perform clerical and administrative duties as directed by the Human Resources Manager.
- Prepares new-hire packets and maintains adequate stock of new-hire materials.
- Responsible for applicant tracking and routing of applications and/or resumes.
- Responsible for employee uniform inventory.
- Tracks and files Absence Request Forms.
- Will maintain strict confidentiality related to Human Resources issues and concerns. Proprietary information is not to be discussed unless otherwise directed by HR Manager.
- Will update employment hotline on a regular bi-monthly basis.
Qualifications Sought:
- Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.
- Ability to perform mathematical operations as needed for position.
- Available between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays, 12 weeks internship, 8-15 hours per week.
- Careful attention to detail required.
- College student interested in Human Resources field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Interview Required
- Must be 18 years or older
- Prior administrative assistant or general office experience required. One-year administrative assistant experience preferred.
- Reliable, punctual, honest and friendly.
- Strong computer skills required; Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills required.
