Department: Volunteer

Responsibilities:

• Answer general questions regarding the Fleet, IMAX films, Exhibitions, Programs, Balboa Park and San Diego.
• Assist with crowd control and line expedition as needed.
• Assist with visitor surveys as needed.
• Distribute brochures, flyers and daily schedules.
• Entertain guests with hands-on science experiments
• Greet and welcome visitors upon their arrival at the Fleet Center.
• Keep Museum Greeter Podium well stocked and clean.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Sought:

• Be able to spend the entire shift standing and/or walking.
• Be friendly and articulate.
• Clean and neat appearance.
• Enjoy working with people of all ages and backgrounds.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of San Diego & Balboa Park helpful, but not necessary.
• Must be able to handle busy as well as slow periods of time.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to work independently at times.
• Outgoing, friendly & enthusiastic personality.
